Harry Davis

Harry C. Davis, age 74, of Brandon, died with his family and friends by his side on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria.

A memorial mass will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Brandon with Rev. Andrew Marthaler officiating. Music is provided by organist, Kim Byrne. Inurnment will take place at the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the church with a rosary at 7 p.m. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.

Harry Clifford Davis was born April 17, 1943 in St. Peter, Minnesota to Clifford and Anna Camella (Gruber) Davis.  Harry attended Mankato Vo-Tech for auto mechanics and eventually owned his own DX service station in Owatonna.  Later he worked for the Owatonna Public School System.  In 1971, Harry married Joan Otto and they made their home in Owatonna for 28 years. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Patrick and Jarrett. Upon retirement in 1998, the couple moved to Brandon to the lake home which they previously designed and built. Harry was a wood carver and was proud to share his talents with others. He was passionate to use his talents to repair things and was very creative in how to accomplish a task. Harry was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Brandon.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Grace (Roman) Kohler; and brothers-in-law, Roman Kohler and Norbert Otto.

Harry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan; two sons, Patrick of Blooming Prairie and Jarrett of Claremont; granddaughter, Holly; grandson, Levi; sister, Ida Lundborg of St. Louis Park; brother, George (Cecilia) Davis of Millerville; a very special cousin, Rozann Reyerson of Eagan; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and the neighbor dog, Harley.

Urn bearers will be Tim Otto, Bill Otto, Roger Jirele, and Corey Katzung.
