Elizabeth “Betty” Gail Mike, age 76, of Alexandria, passed away unexpectedly at her home, June 5, 2020.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 26th, 2020, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Moe Township, Hwy 7 with Chaplain Michael Peterson officiating.  Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, social distancing guidelines with masks will be observed.  To sign her online guestbook, please visit www.lindfamilyfh.com.

Betty was born April 23, 1944, to Willmar and Esther (Heikkinen) Mike in Alexandria, Minnesota. Betty was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Moe Township.  She attended school in Holmes City, Alexandria High School and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1962.  She attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, North Dakota, then moved to Minneapolis and worked for many years at Lavelle Company and later Northwest Airlines in Office Administration.  Betty loved to travel in her younger years, visiting Europe and Australia.  She was proud of her Finnish heritage and had planned to visit Finland. She loved kids and her nieces and nephews, was always their “favorite auntie” because she played with them so much when they were young.  Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May He hold her in the palm of His hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willmar and Esther Mike; brothers, Donald, Earl, Quentin, Charles, Alan and David Mike; sister, Judith Dietz; and brother-in-law, Gerald Krueger.

Betty leaves behind her twin brother, Bruce (Donna) of New London, Wisconsin; sisters, Bertha (Fred) Weaver of Mansfield, Texas, Enid Krueger of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin and Diana (Dave) Torkildson of Lake Park, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Brian Dietz of Denver, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Memorials preferred to St Paul’s Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers please.
