Brian Pray

Brian L. Pray, age 50, formerly of Parkers Prairie, of Alexandria, died in his home on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Interment will take place at Black Oak Lutheran Cemetery alongside his sister, in Montevideo.

Brian Lyle Pray was born on July 10, 1969, in Montevideo, Minnesota to Lyle and Diane (Olson) Pray.  Their home was in Clarkfield, Minnesota and at the age of six, they moved to Parkers Prairie.  Brian attended school in Parkers Prairie and graduated in 1988.  After high school, he attended Alex Tech for welding and machining.  Brian was a certified welder and tool and dye while living in Minneapolis, he later moved to Fargo, North Dakota.  Although the last 20 years he struggled with mental illness, he loved our Lord and studied his two favorite books of the Bible, Proverbs and Solomon.  Brian loved hunting and fishing, spending many hours on the water where he felt so much peace.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tanya Pray; and grandparents, Carl and Ruby Olson and Lloyd Pray.

Brian is survived by his father and mother, Lyle and Diane Pray; brother, Daren Pray; four nieces, Samantha Olson, Eja Olson, Aaliyah Pray and Ashleigh Pray all of the Parkers Prairie area; grandmother, Lucille Pray of New London; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
