Zachery A. Twa

Zachery “Zach” A. Twa, age 30, of Janesville, formerly of Alexandria, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria. Interment will take place at Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Zachery Austin was born on August 8, 1994, to Robert and Becky (Hardy) Twa in Alexandria. He attended both Alexandria Public Schools and New Testament Charter School, graduating in 2012. Following high school, Zach served in the Army National Guard. He met Felicia Ashing in 2015, while working in landscaping in Alexandria. Together, they built a life and welcomed two children, Vanessa and Kaileus. Zach’s career led him into manufacturing, beginning with his brother, Evan, at Bobcat in Gwinner, North Dakota. Over the years, he worked for several manufacturing companies, including Federal Premium in Anoka and Gerdau in St. Paul, before recently relocating to Janesville. Zach was a history buff at heart and loved talking with anyone who would listen. He also enjoyed studying military tactics. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Becky (Hardy) Twa in 2014; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Marilyn Twa; maternal grandmother, Nancy Hardy; aunt, Carolyn Twa; and uncle, Charles Twa.

Zach is survived by his life partner, Felicia Ashing of Janesville; two children, Vanessa and Kaileus Twa both at home; father and step-mother, Robert and Dorothy Twa of Alexandria; two brothers, Evan (Elizabeth) Twa of West Fargo, North Dakota and Braxton Twa of Alexandria; sister, Addison Twa of Alexandria; grandfather, Will Hardy of Alexandria; aunt, Andi Hardy of Alexandria, Minnesota and Alexandria, Virginia; uncle, LeighRa Twa of Alexandria; and cousin, Skylar (Drew) Pleasants of Charleston, South Carolina.

Pallbearers are Evan Twa, Robert Twa, Braxton Twa, LeighRa Twa, Mathew Zondervan, and Richard Davis.
