Thomas "Tom" E. Thoennes

Thomas “Tom” E. Thoennes, age 69, of Ottertail, died on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Ecumen -Emmanuel Cottage in Detroit Lakes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Thomas Edward Thoennes was born on June 11, 1952, the son of Edward and Ruth Ann (Klein) Thoennes.

Thomas was united in marriage to Jacqueline (Massa) on July 3, 1996. The couple lived in Ottertail and enjoyed Las Vegas, casinos, and going for drives. He loved computer games and his online friends.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jacqueline; previous wife, Lynn (née Meemken) (Robert) Guptil of Spicer; five children, Myla (Jon) Lindstrand of Kandiyohi, Rochelle (Dennis) Burger of St. Cloud, Krista Smith of New Ulm, Troy Thoennes of Breckenridge; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Connie (Ed) Maloney of Ramsey and Cathy (Chuck) Debilzen of Parkers Prairie; and brother, Tim (Deb) Thoennes of Oakdale.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Greg in 1994; and parents, Edward and Ruth Ann Thoennes.
