Teckla Ratajesak, age 70, of Miltona, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at her home.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Teckla Renee was born on May 29, 1954, to Clinton and SaVera (Brechbiel) Anderson in Alexandria. She was one of three daughters who resided in Kensington up until Teckla was one year old. The family then moved to Alexandria. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972. After high school, she began working as a nurses aide. Teckla moved to Colorado for 3 years and gave birth to her eldest son, Chris. On January 4, 1986, Teckla married Mark Ratajesak at a friend’s house in Alexandria. Together, they had a son and raised their 3 boys in Miltona. Teckla worked as a CNA, caring for residents at Bethany Home, St. William’s Living Center, and Diamond Willow. She also worked at Schaefer’s Machining. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles, caring for animals, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her endless supply of Hi-C juice boxes and full candy drawer will most certainly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Teckla is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mark Ratajesak; three sons, Chris (Amy) Clapshaw of Miltona, Mark (Laurie) Ratajesak of Rose City, and Derek (Kelly) Ratajesak of Rose City; eight grandchildren and step grandchildren, Jon, Desaray, Mercedes, Emma, Grayson, Sawyer, Clinton, and Eli; great-grandsons, Keanu and Charlie; two sisters, DeEtte Field of Spruce Center and Denise (Ron) Resdorph of Ortonville; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
