Susan Rae Klimek

Susan R. Klimek, age 77, of Parkers Prairie, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at home, with family, under the care of Knute Nelson Hospice.

A celebration of life with be held from 12 p.m.- 3 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Prairie Event Center in Parkers Prairie.

Sue was born November 11, 1946, in Monte Vista, Colorado. She graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1964. Sue was united in marriage to Ted Klimek on April 16, 1966, in Urbank, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they moved to Cottage Grove where they lived for 30 years. Sue worked at Securian Life for 15 years after raising her two children. Following retirement in 2001, Sue and Ted moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona and in 2014, built a home on Block Lake spending summers there for the past ten years. Sue was an avid and talented crafter. She especially liked making cards and jewelry for friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Delphine Olson.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ted; daughter, Kirsten (Greg) Allen; son, Kody (Carolyn Weston) Klimek; granddaughter, Dani (Aiden) Kochery; grandson, Reid (Katie) Potter; eight step grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
