Steven Paul was born on September 27, 1949, to Paul and Helen (Hughes) Frahm in Worthington. He was the firstborn of three boys and moved several times throughout southern Minnesota. The family eventually made their home in Prior Lake, where Steven attended school and graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1967. It was there he met the love of his life, and he married Bonnie Hartmann on September 28, 1968, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Prior Lake. Steven was drafted into the United States Army in 1970 and was initially stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington, before serving a tour in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1971. After returning from the military, Steve worked with his dad as a diesel mechanic. He worked for several shops before starting his own business, Dakota Truck Maintenance, in 1980. He worked diligently until his retirement in 2002. After retiring, he and Bonnie moved to Alexandria, where Steve was able to pursue his favorite hobbies: fishing, fixing, collecting, and traveling with his collector cars. He had a number of dog companions over the years, all of whom he loved as his children. He volunteered for the Lakes Area Humane Society and served as a driver for VA Transportation. He was always willing to help with family projects and was known for his helpful catchphrase: “Just tell me when and where.” He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

He is proceeded in death by his parents.

Steve is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie of Alexandria; brothers, Doug (Tammy) Frahm of Prior Lake and Ricky (Char) Frahm of Monticello; nieces and nephews, Kim (Randy) Sirek, Jessica (Bill King) Frahm, Robert Frahm, Karen Frahm, Anna (Bryan) Cox, and Christina (Alex) Lau; many great-nieces and nephews; and his cocker spaniel companion, Suzy Q.
