Sheryl A. Freudenberg, age 80, of Parkers Prairie, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 1, 2024, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music provided by organist, Maureen Diedrich.  Private family interment will take place at Glen Haven Cemetery, Crystal.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Sheryl Ann was born on December 16, 1943, to Charles and Eloise (Vick) Lewis in Minneapolis. She was baptized on April 20, 1952, and confirmed on May 1, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church. Sheryl grew up in North Minneapolis where she graduated from high school in 1962. She was united in marriage to Neil Oney in 1963, at Zion Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, they lived in Nevada for a short time before settling in New Hope where she raised her children, Greg, and Kari. Her husband, Neil died on December 1, 1993. Sheryl met and was married to Ralph Freudenberg in 1995, in Shakopee. Following their marriage, they lived in Chanhassen until moving to Parkers Prairie in 1997. Sheryl began working as a paraprofessional at the Parkers Prairie Elementary School for several years until her retirement. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in Bible Studies and other church activities. She enjoyed her comradery with the Red Hatters Group of Alexandria. Sheryl was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed reading, mystery trips, biking, hiking, four-wheeler and side by side rides with Ralph.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil; sister, Marliee, and brother, Charles.

Sheryl is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ralph; sons, Greg Oney of New Hope and Curt (Conni) Freudenberg of Milaca; daughters, Kari (William) Gilfillan of Burnsville and Nancy (Rob) Crowe of Shakopee; brother-in-law, Lloyd (Kathleen) Oney of Pine River; four sisters-in-law, Donna (Maynard) Noetzelman of Maple Grove, Lois (Dennis) Charbonneau of Parkers Prairie, Beverly (Jim) Osekowsky of Eden Prairie and Linda (John) Smetana of Ramsey; five grandsons, Marty, Blake, Cole, Alex, and Max; aunt, Joyce Zabinski of Brooklyn Center; along with several nieces and nephews.

Urn bearers will be her family.
