Sharon M. Drum, age 67, of Alexandria died on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Vivie Care Center in Alexandria.

Private services will be held.

Sharon Marie was born on February 19, 1958, to Carroll and Joan (Bodanski) Chapman in Douglas County. She grew up in rural Osakis and graduated from Osakis High School in 1976. She then attended Alexandria Technical College, receiving a degree in accounting. Sharon was united in marriage to Daniel Drum on February 5, 1977, at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. They made their home in the Alexandria area, where Sharon lovingly raised their three sons and a daughter. Throughout her life, Sharon lived in various places, including the Twin Cities, Carlos, Osakis, and Alexandria. She worked for 3M, Lindrite, and Standard Iron during her career. Sharon was an amazing cook, known for her specialties of enchiladas and smothered burritos. She enjoyed golfing and cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren, often opening her home for “Gramma Daycare.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Connie Martin.

Sharon is survived by her three sons, Shane Drum of Evansville, Darren (Kira Magnuson) Drum of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Kyle (Toni) Drum of Long Prairie; daughter, Robin (Kyle) Hathaway of Long Prairie; brother Steven Chapman of Eagle Bend; sister Julie (Joy Gibbon) Chapman of Chesapeake, Virginia; 14 granddaughters; a grandson; four great-grandchildren with one on the way; along with several nieces and nephews.
