Rose Zuehlke, age 61, of Parkers Prairie, died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 30, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Jonathan Sorum officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Julie Lindgren and vocalist, Becky Schultz. Burial will take place at Woodside Cemetery, Wrightstown.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Rosemary "Rose" Zuehlke was born September 26, 1951, to Roger and Bonnie (Hewitt) Hansen in Graceville, Minnesota. She grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and attended public schools. Her family moved to Parkers Prairie in 1967, and she attended Parkers Prairie High School. She was baptized with her fiancé, Donald at First Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie in 1969. She was united in marriage to Donald Zuehlke June 6, 1969, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. They lived and raised their family in Parkers Prairie. Rose worked at Munsingwear in Wadena, St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie and as a janitor at First Lutheran Church. She owned and operated Flea-Mar-Stop in Parkers Prairie with her husband and sold collectibles at various Flea Markets in the area. She retired in August of 2012, due to her health. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading and collecting everything under the sun.
Rose is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald; two sons, Dean (Dee) Zuehlke of Sparta, Wisconsin and Timothy (fiancée, Karen Cory) Zuehlke of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Janene (Jason) Mogler of Alexandria; three brothers, Randy Hansen of Lincoln, Nebraska, Roger (Lenore) Hansen of Miltona and Stacy Hansen of North Pole, Alaska; sister, Theresa Hanson of Motley; five grandchildren, Hunter Mogler, Kendyll Mogler, Terrence "T.J." Mogler, Bradley Zuehlke and Greyson Mogler; along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Trevor and granddaughter, Morgan Mogler.
Pallbearers will be Cory Flagg, Marlin Zuehlke, Justin Newberg, Gary Mrnak, Luke Hansen and Todd Mrnak. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Russell Rustad.
