Renee E. Tomford, age 56, of Urbank, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 15, 2024, at St. Cloud Hospital.

A visitation will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude with a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria.

Renee Elizabeth was born on October 16, 1968, the youngest of three, to Edmond “Eddie” and Corrine (Klimek) Koep in Canton, Ohio. She was baptized in Canton and later confirmed at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Millerville. In 1970, her family moved to the Urbank/Millerville area, where Renee grew up. She attended Brandon Public School and graduated in 1987. Renee was united in marriage to Wade Tomford on July 18, 1987, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Millerville. Renee and Wade began their married life on Renee’s family homestead, where they were blessed with three children. Renee dedicated herself to raising their children before starting her professional career. She first worked for different employers in the area; Kenny’s Candy in Parkers Prairie, Cousin’s Cafe in Millerville, and Chippewa Farms near Brandon. Renee then began her long-standing career at Arrowwood in Alexandria, working in the banquet hall for over 20 years. Throughout her life, Renee enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was known for her excellent cooking. She had a passion for watching sports, especially participating in fantasy football. Above all, Renee cherished time spent with her family and was always there to help whenever they needed her. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Richard Tomford Sr.; and brother-in-law, Michael Kane.

Renee is survived by her husband, Wade; three children, Stephanie (Ward Jerome) Tomford, Travis (Avary) Tomford, and Trent Tomford all of Urbank; grandchildren, Bentley, Paisley, Axel, Waverly, and baby girl on the way, Jasmine Renee; brother, Randy (Jill) Koep of Millerville; sister, Rose Kane of Brandon; mother-in-law, Patsy Tomford; sister-in-law, Susan (Tim) Jacobs; brother-in-law, Richard Tomford Jr.; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
