Milton R. Larson, age 76, a resident of Parkers Prairie, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Jonathan Sorum officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Dean Swanson and vocalist, Dedra Zwieg. Burial will take place at Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Milton Richard Larson was born March 9, 1933, to Gust C. and Esther A. (Olson) Larson in Rose City, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. He grew up in Elmo Township where he attended elementary school before attending District #74 Country School. He worked as a custodian at the U of M in Minneapolis, as a dishwasher at a nursing home, at the MacHotel in St. Paul and various other jobs in the Twin Cities. He was united in marriage to Pearl Caplin in February of 1978, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Following their marriage they lived in the Twin Cities and in Parkers Prairie. He worked with this brother, Donald farming in Elmo Township. In 1980 he moved into Parkers Prairie to live and care for his mother. His mother died in 1994. Milton continued living in Parkers Prairie until his death. He began a lawn mowing business in 1978 which has continued to the current time. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed mowing lawns, playing cards and solitaire and shooting pool.
Milton is survived by a sister, Jeanette (Andy) Ulsby of Becker, Minnesota and a brother, Gaylord Larson of Parkers Prairie; along with several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald Larson in 2005.
Pallbearers are Duane Olson, Ron Olson, Gary Olson, Bruce Olson, Scott Ulsby and Allan Ulsby.
