Mildred “Millie” M. Wolf, age 100, of Parkers Prairie, formerly of Wadena, died on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at St. William’s Living Center in Parkers Prairie.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek with Rev. Donald Wagner officiating.  Music is provided by organist, Marcus Lueders. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Millie was born on August 13, 1923, to Edward and Alice (Ridenour) Johnson in Amboy Township, Cottonwood County. She grew up in Jeffers where she was baptized and confirmed at the First Methodist Episcopal Church. She attended public school and graduated from Jeffers High School in 1942.

Millie was united in marriage to Elton Wolf on August 13, 1945, at the Lutheran parsonage in Jeffers.  Following their marriage, they farmed in Jeffers, and she also worked at Tony Downs Poultry Co. in St. James and Butterfield.  In 1978, she and her husband purchased a farm in Wadena where she raised chickens, pheasants, gardened, and canned meat, vegetables, and pickles. She worked hard on the farm and sold sweet corn to the public for many years. In the 1990’s, Millie took an extension course on how to grow apple trees and was successful in her efforts to raise them. Millie and Elton moved to Willow Creek in Henning in 2015, sold their farm in 2017, and moved to McCornell Courts Assisted Living in Parkers Prairie in 2019. Elton died in November of 2019. Millie has lived at St. William’s Living Center since September of 2023.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek. Millie enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, and bird feeding.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elton; daughter, Laura Reinke; sons-in-law, Leon Olson and Darrold Reinke; sisters, Evelyn and Gladys; and brothers, Victor and Gerald.

Millie is survived by her two daughters, Jurene (Jon) Lammle of Parkers Prairie and Vickie Olson of Grand Rapids; son, Brian (Deborah) Wolf of Arden Hills; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Wyona Wolf; brother-in-law, Gordon Wolf; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers are her grandchildren Honorary pallbearers are her remaining grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.
