Milanka Neisen

Milanka Neisen, age 72, of Glenwood, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

 A celebration of life gathering will begin at 2pm concluding with a time of sharing at 4 p.m., on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria.

 Milanka Ivanovic’ Neisen was born on January 18, 1952, in Falia, Germany. She came to America in 1956, and settled in Chicago, Illinois. She married Heinz Strobel in 1972, and they had three sons. The family enjoyed skiing, camping, bike riding, swimming, and bowling. In 1975, they moved to Minnesota. Milanka married Mathew Neisen in 1998, and together they enjoyed dancing, walking, golfing, bike riding, and camping. She enjoyed her crafts of knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting, and her collection of roosters and chickens.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Heinz Strobel; son, Heinz Strobel; father, Nicifor Ivanovic’; three sisters, Kristina Ivanovic’, Nadiza Bulkowski, Radosava Carraher; brother-in-law, Jason Neisen; and father-in-law, Ronald Neisen. 

Milanka is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mathew Neisen of Glenwood; two sons, Klaus (Ryanne) Strobel of Kensington, and Dieter (Megan) Strobel of Barrett; daughter-in-law, Karen 

Gelling-Strobel of Hoffman; seven grandchildren, Brooklyn and Bennett Strobel of Barrett, Christopher (Sara) Stier of Wyoming, Paige Stier of St. Paul, Kalista (fiancé, Nikolai Ivanovic’) Hubbard of Deer Creek, Landon and Alexis Heidinger both of Hoffman; two great-grandchildren, Asher and Leighton Stier of Wyoming; two brothers, Alexander (Lori) Ivanovic’ and Dragi Ivanovic’ both of Bigfork; mother-in-law, Lorraine Neisen of Alexandria; two brothers-in-law, Bill (Cheri) Knudson of Silver Lake, and Andy (Mary) Knudson of Alexandria; three sisters-in-law, Virginia (Ken) Brehmer of Elbow Lake, Brenda Neisen-Gregg of Annandale, and Michelle Neisen-Ebner of Rogers; special longtime friend of almost 50 years, Beverly (George) Suchy of Lowry; along with many cousins, nephews, and nieces around America, Germany, and Serbia.
