Marvin Duberowski

Marvin J. Duberowski, age 86, life-long resident of Parkers Prairie, died Monday, December 5, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Gloria Hollatz and vocalist, Mary Duberowksi. Burial will take place at Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Marvin John was born December 31, 1924, to John and Anna (Brockopp) Duberowski on the family farm in Parkers Prairie Township. He was baptized at home on the day he was born and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church on May 28, 1939. He attended District #50 Country School. Following his education, Marvin took over the responsibilities of the family farm. He was united in marriage to Peggy Chase on April 14, 1951, at Henning Methodist Church. Following their marriage they farmed and raised their three sons. Marvin's wife, Peggy died December 31, 2007. Marvin continued living on his farm and farmed until the time of his death. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was a former board member, trustee and elder. He was also a former board member of the Prairie Pine Mutual Insurance. He enjoyed trapping gophers, fishing and playing cards. He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Marvin is survived by his three sons, Donovan (Mary) Duberowski of Motley, John (Julie) Duberowski and Tom (Bobbi) Duberowski both of Parkers Prairie; special friend, Donna Wussow of Alexandria; 10 grandchildren; 8 ? great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy; two brothers, Johnie and Paul; and four sisters, Vivian Kalpin, Lulu Thorpe, Myrtle Schultz and Geneva Venzke.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Samuel Duberowski, Jason Duberowski, Jim Duberowski, Scott Duberowski, Joey Duberowski and Mike Duberowski. Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Duberowski, Tina and Chris Watson, Anna and Ben Dahlvang, Emily and Patric Doyle, Brandy Duberowski, Jackie Duberowski and Kayla Duberowski.
