Majelle E. Melzer

Majelle E. Melzer, age 86, of Miltona, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

A private family service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at Rose City Evangelical Free Cemetery.

Majelle Edythe was born on April 2, 1935, to Arthur and Edyth (Fredman) Anderson in Alexandria. She married Delton Melzer on July 20, 1953. They lived and farmed on the Anderson family farm where they raised their children. Majelle was the 3^rd generation in her family living on the farm. She was a lifetime member of the Rose City Evangelical Free Church where she was involved with many aspects of the church. Majelle was a gentle, kind, and loving wife, mother, and friend. She loved her family time, farming the land, and her involvement with church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sheryl; and siblings.

Majelle is survived by her husband of 68 years, Delton Melzer; son, Maynard (Deb) Melzer; daughter, Sherlyn VanVickle; granddaughters, Angela VanVickle, Kari Melzer, and Tifanny Melzer; brothers-in-law, Gene and Merit Melzer; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
