Lynn R. Edenloff, age 73, a resident of Parkers Prairie, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Jonathan Sorum officiating. Burial will take place at Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arlyn Rae Edenloff was born September 15, 1936, to Clark and Avis (Jerome) Johnson in Spruce Center Township, Minnesota. She grew up in Carlos where she attended country school. She graduated from Central High School in Alexandria in 1954, and completed Beauty School in St. Cloud. She was united in marriage to Victor Edenloff January 5, 1957, at Osakis Lutheran Church. Following their marriage they lived in Osakis and Alexandria before moving to Parkers Prairie in 1963. She served as Justice of the Peace for several years and started as head cook of the Parkers Prairie Nutrition Center in 1985. She became site manager and worked until September 11, 2009, at which time she suffered a stroke. Vic, her husband of 52 years, died three weeks earlier on October 18th. Lynn was very active in the Parkers Prairie community, organizing the annual Legion Halloween party and helping with Fall Festival Senior Bingo. She also served as an election judge and volunteered at the Food Shelf. For more than 17 years, Lynn and Vic were licensed adult foster care providers in Otter Tail County for Virginia Barta. Lynn was a senior news contributor for the Independent newspaper and board member of Productive Alternatives. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, WELCA, Naomi Circle and call committee. She was Sunday School superintendent, teacher and Confirmation instructor. Lynn enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge, Scrabble, arts & crafts, fishing, garage sales, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Lynn is survived by children, Lee (Loray) Edenloff, Al (Celeste) Edenloff, both of Alexandria, and Vicki Edenloff of Fargo, North Dakota; a sister, Toni (Robert) Stoeckel of St. Cloud; two brothers, Butch (Jan) Johnson of Waconia and Carnie (Jenny) Johnson of Lakeville; three grandchildren, Katelyn and Carly Edenloff and Brandon Beliveau; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Pallbearers will be Rob Stoeckel II, Micah Stoeckel, Wendy Reed, Rachel Johnson, Brent Stoeckel and Chris Stoeckel. Honorary pallbearers will be Merle Hall, Duane Hall, Jason Johnson and Blaine Stoeckel.
