Linda Ann Self

Linda A. Self, age 72, of Parkers Prairie, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 17, 2019, at St. William’s Living Center in Parkers Prairie.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music is provided by organist, Maureen Diedrich. Interment is at the Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

Linda Ann Jasinski was born on January 9, 1947, to Stanley and Eva (Brose) Jasinski in San Fransicso, California. She was raised by Eva and Kenneth Tranholt. Linda spent her childhood summers in Mahnomen with her relatives. Linda worked at Honeywell many years and also held various seasonal retail positions. Linda was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, spoiling any animal she saw, coloring, baking her famous banana bread for church and crosswords.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Lil; and uncle, Clifford.

Linda is survived by her dog, Lady; three daughters, Jackie (Mark) Gable of Bloomington, Norgean (Sean) Rodenborn of Parkers Prairie and Julie Oliver of Omak, Washington; son-in-law, Ricky Simonson of Carlos; 11 grandchildren, Deloris Simonson, Alroy Simonson, Kenneth Simonson, Misty Aune, Tiffany Gable, Derek Gable, Shane Gable, Rayven Aune, Jacob Aune, Jayme Aune and Richard Rodenborn; and five great-grandchildren.

Serving as casket bearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
