Linda Moske

Linda L. Moske, age 67, of Parkers Prairie, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Horsehead Lake Country Living in Parkers Prairie.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music is provided by organist, Maureen Diedrich and soloist, Dedra Zwieg. Burial is at the Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Monday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Linda Lou Hemquist was born on February 16, 1950, to Carmen and Agnes (Schiewe) Hemquist in Parkers Prairie. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Linda attended Parkers Prairie Public Schools and graduated in 1968. She was united in marriage to Rodney Moske on October 5, 1967, at First Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. Following their marriage, she joined Rodney on the farm where she was a homemaker. They were blessed with three children, Raymie, Anthony, and Kevin. Linda also worked for Smitty’s Bakery, Barrel of Fun, Kenny’s Candy,  and sold Avon products while she continued to help on the farm. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Wings, and singing in the choir. She also enjoyed taking walks in nature, sewing, baking cakes, collected porcelain dolls. gardening, and feeding and watching birds and her pets. Linda especially loved taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathleen Carlson; and nephew, Justin Carlson.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rodney; daughter, Raymie (Don) Emslander of Sauk Centre; two sons, Anthony (Michelle) Moske and Kevin Moske both of Parkers Prairie; three sisters, Sharon (Larry) Carlson of Parkers Prairie, Vicki (Roger) Hermes of Alexandria, and Brenda (Dan) Johnson of Litchfield; brother-in-law, Morley Carlson of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Jonathan Simonson, Samantha Simonson, Benjamin Moske, Christopher Moske, and Rosalee Moske; great-granddaughter, Chloe Simonson; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Dawn and Glen Olson, Dale Koebernick, Donna Krull, Don Emslander, Samantha Simonson, Benjamin Moske, and Rosalee Moske.
