Linda Pauline was born on January 26, 1943, to Elmer and Emma (Lehmann) Jasmer in Bertha. She attended country school and graduated from Staples High School in 1960. Linda was united in marriage to Allen Buhl on October 14, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Browerville. The couple made their home near Browerville, where Linda stayed home to raise their children.
In 1965, the family moved to St. Paul for Allen’s work. Once the children reached school age, Linda began doing housework for elderly residents in the area. In 1973, she began working as a seamstress for “Sew What” in Highland Park, where she worked for 10 years.
Linda and Allen later moved to their lake property on Lake Vermont near Parkers Prairie. There, Linda continued using her talents as a seamstress for people throughout the area. Allen passed away in 1993 following a brief battle with cancer and Linda remained at the lake for another 10 years before moving into Parkers Prairie. She lived there until 2016, when she moved to Mounds View to be closer to family.
Linda enjoyed doing puzzles, playing bingo, and listening to music. She also loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and dancing polka with Allen. Linda was a social butterfly who especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Emma; husband, Allen; brothers, Elroy (Ellie) Jasmer, Willard Jasmer, and Sonny (Mel) Jasmer; parents-in-law, John and Hattie Buhl; brother-in-law Tim Temanson; and sister-in-law Virgie Buhl.
Linda is survived by her four children, Susan Miller of Perham, Cindy (Steve) Anderson of Mounds View, Craig (Janelle) Buhl of St. Paul Park, and Cheryl Buhl of Mounds View; sister Adeline Temanson of Dickinson, North Dakota; sister-in-law Neola Jasmer of Bertha; six grandchildren, Jon (Sam), Mindy (Dan), Alex, Molly (Troy), Christina, and Alan “AJ”; nine great-grandchildren, Wesley, Camila, Zac, Allan, Andrew, Makenna, Elly, Henry, and Kinly; along with many nieces and nephews.
