Lillian M. Schweigert, age 85, of Parkers Prairie, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Maureen Diedrich and vocalist, Dedra Zweig. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Almora.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lillian Mathilda Schweigert was born December 14, 1924, to Diedrich and Sophie (Rosenfeldt) Thies in Arlington, Minnesota. She grew up and attended country school in Arlington, living on many different farms in the area. She farmed cattle, horses and dogs. Music was Lillian's life. She was united in marriage to Walter R. Schweigert on February 3, 1956, in Graceville, Minnesota. They moved to Parkers Prairie in 1958, lived near Urbank before moving to their farm east of town in 1977, where they also gardened and raised livestock. Her husband, Walter died on October 25, 2004. Lillian stayed on the farm until moving into McCornell Court in Parkers Prairie in 2006. She has resided at St. William's Living Center for the past two years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, music and animals.
She is survived by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Pallbearers will be Jim Cronk, Lowell Dittberner, Tim Iverson, Willard Iverson, Curt Lind and Larry Moske.
