Kim “Lee” Wray was born on October 14, 1961, to Don and Virginia (Doughty) Wray in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Oklahoma City area, where he attended school and graduated from Bethany High School in 1980. During his high school years, Lee earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. He continued his education at Bethany Nazarene College, graduating with a degree in business. Following college, he worked at OK Gas & Electric. Lee was united in marriage to Robyn Gastineau on May 30, 1992, at First Church of the Nazarene in Oklahoma City. They made their home in the area until 1999, when they moved to Kansas City, where Lee worked as an auditor for Chrysler Automotive. In 2006, Lee and Robyn relocated to Alexandria, Minnesota. Lee worked for Textron Financial as an auditor until 2012, and later held a variety of positions, most notably at the Alexandria and Garfield Post Offices, retiring in April 2025. Lee was a devoted member of Alexandria Covenant Church, where he loved singing in the choir and helping with AWANA. He had a passion for the Lord, faithfully leading his Tuesday Bible Study Fellowship “BSF” group along with his men’s Bible studies on Wednesdays and Fridays. He treasured time with his family and never missed a chance to cheer on the Oklahoma Sooners during Saturday football games. Lee also found joy in sailing, playing cards and tabletop games, and providing acts of service to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and uncle Larry Wray.
Lee is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robyn; two sons, Colin (Brooke) Wray of Alexandria and Nathan (Kailey) Wray of Carlos; daughter Sofia Wray of Alexandria; granddaughter Noah Jane Wray; sister, Sherri (Christopher) Anderson of Edmond, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.
