Kenneth Tuil

Kenneth John Tuil

Kenneth John Tuil was born in Bertha, Minnesota on June 23, 1945 to Jubbie and Elizabeth Tuil.
He was baptized into the Christian Faith at Esther Lutheran Church on August 5, 1945.
He joined a brother, Dave and a sister, Ardelle and was joined by a brother, Gary, 4 years later. He was a great worker on the family farm and loved helping with farm chores. He especially liked mowing the lawn and shoveling snow. He was filled with energy and would work for hours on end.
He also attended the Parkers Prairie DAC and looked forward to going to a week at summer camp every year.
In 1983 he moved to a group home setting in Alexandria and began attending the Alexandria DAC which provided a great place for him to go to work each day.
The group home provided a wonderful home atmosphere for him and kept him busy with activities that included parties, dances, parades, picnics, church and movies.
Swinging at the park, riding bicycle, fishing, bowling, dancing and going to Burger King were some of his most favorite activities.
By far his most favorite was his birthday. He learned quickly that if he told everyone that today was his birthday, he would get a great response and maybe a hug.
He enjoyed a very healthy life with few illnesses and hardly ever had a cold. He was full of fun and energy and kept the staff on their toes.
He spent his last few days battling pneumonia and passed away on Monday January 2, 2012 at the age of 66.
