Kenneth “Ken” D. Noe, age 77, of Parkers Prairie, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Essentia Health in Fargo.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Ben Dyrhaug officiating. Music is provided by organist, Julie Lindgren. Full military honors accorded by the Minnesota Honor Guard and the Parkers Prairie American Legion Post #219. Interment will take place at a later date.

Kenneth Darwin was born on April 14, 1946, to Harry and Helen (Spaar) Noe in Wadena. He was baptized and confirmed at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Deer Creek. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1964. Following graduation, Ken worked for two years on the Northern Pacific Railroad, during this time, he met the love of his life, Fonda Iverson. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in May of 1966, and on his first leave became engaged to Fonda and on his second leave, married her.  They were united in marriage on September 30, 1967, at Elmo Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, Fonda moved to Jacksonville, Florida where Ken was stationed. During his time with the Navy, Ken served aboard the USS America from February until December of 1968. He served aboard the USS Coral Sea from September of 1969 until his honorable discharge in April of 1970. Ken and Fonda returned home to Parkers Prairie, and he attended Alexandria Technical College for two years, studying carpentry. He worked for various contractors prior to starting his own business, Ken Noe Construction, which he operated for over 30 years. Ken built their home north of Parkers Prairie in 1976. Following his retirement, he kept busy doing odd jobs. He was member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and most of all, time spent with his family.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis (Phillip) Voge, Joyce (Wally) Martin, Darlene (Leonard) Dertinger, and Delores (Alan) Voge; brother, Duane Noe; three nieces, Coralee Voge, Lori Perkins, and Tami Ingman; and nephew, Timothy Dertinger. 

Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fonda; two daughters, Tracie (Scott) Berglund of Alexandria and Nicole (Chris) Bernd of Gentilly; six grandchildren, Katelyn (fiancé, Michael Herrington) Coopet, Andrew (Annie) Coopet, Sawyer (fiancée, Leah Irlbeck) Bernd, and Kristine Bernd; two step grandchildren, Vincent Berglund and Cole Berglund; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family. 

Urn bearers are his grandchildren.
