Justin J. "Hemmy" Hemmerlin, age 24, of Parkers Prairie, died Sunday, May 8, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Gloria Hollatz and vocalist, Dedra Zwieg. Burial will take place at Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 pm, Wednesday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Justin James Hemmerlin was born December 25, 1986, to Ralph and Judy (Lindquist) Hemmerlin in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 2005. He attended Alexandria Technical College and St. Cloud Technical College, studying mechanics. Justin worked with his father Ralph, with Hemmerlin Construction and Hemmerlin Properties in St. Cloud. He also worked at RK's Caf? in Parkers Prairie and most recently with Gopher One Seal Coating of Carlos, as a crew foreman. He volunteered many hours of community service for the city of Parkers Prairie and Productive Alternatives. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Parkers Prairie Sportsman's Club, NRA, Wild Turkey Federation and the Sunday night bowling group in Alexandria. Justin loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, especially ducks, and taking Matt Gappa hunting and fishing. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, spearing suckers, playing games on the Wii, working on cars and trucks and visiting with everyone.

Justin is survived by his parents, Ralph and Judy Hemmerlin of Parkers Prairie; sister, Samantha Hemmerlin (fianc?, Kyle Prechel) of Parkers Prairie; paternal grandmother, Gloria Hemmerlin of Vining; special uncle, Randy Christianson; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends and his dog, Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mickey and JoAnn Koehn and paternal grandfather, Leo Hemmerlin.

Pallbearers will be Jason Fiedler, Justin Fiedler, Jake Fiedler, Jay Jensen, Alex Looker, Matt Gappa, Tim Hanson, Chad Oeltjenbruns and Chris Velde. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Prechel, Jake Ost, Brad Ost, Dannon McGregor, Brittany Anderson, Kathy Lofquist, Gregg Myren, Robin Turchin and all of Hemmy's remaining friends.
