Judy M. Swipies

Judy M. Swipies, age 66, of Parkers Prairie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music is provided by organist, Maureen Diedrich.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Judy Mary was born on April 17, 1955, to Leon and Verna (LaBreck) Grivois in Caswell, Maine. She graduated high school in 1973. She was a homemaker and raised three kids while traveling the world to show them the grass wasn’t always greener. She married Arnie Swipies on October 27, 2012. Judy loved animals, especially butterflies, dogs, and cats. She enjoyed playing games, her favorite being ‘Phase 10’ and shaking dice. Above all she loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Melton and Larry.

Judy is survived by her husband, Arnie Swipies of Parkers Prairie; sons, Robert Evans of Texas and Timothy Brown of Starbuck; daughter, Chandra Evans of Eagle Bend; brother, Loren; sisters, Bernice, Norma, Mae Jean, and Mary Ann; 13 grandchildren; four cats and three dogs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
