Jolene M. Speirs

Jolene M. Speirs, age 86, of Alexandria died on Friday, February 23, 2024, at St. Cloud Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Alexandria with Dr. Rev. Jill Sanders officiating. Music is provided by pianist, Diane Alveshere and vocalist, Marc Blakesley. Private family interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, South St. Paul.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

John and Jolene were married in South St. Paul in 1957, where they resided and raised their three children. She worked at South St. Paul Schools as a Teacher’s Aide for many years before joining the 1^st Trust Company.  Following retirement, they moved to Lake Andrew in Alexandria where they enjoyed many good times with family and friends. Later, they relocated into town. Jolene loved to travel and enjoyed spending some winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She was very kind, caring, well loved, and always had a positive outlook on life. She will be deeply missed by Jocko, family, and friends.

Jolene is survived by her loving husband, John “Jocko” Speirs; two sons, Scott Speirs and Bruce (Chelle) Speirs; daughter, Jackie (Joe) Bailey; brother, Raymond Houle; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Micael) Speirs, Sean (Kate) Bailey, Nicole (Jake) Bailey Clark, Jake Speirs, Anna Speirs, Caitlyn Speirs, and Cameron (Danielle) Speirs; Kris Peterson "Krista-Belle", as called by Jolene and loved like a second daughter; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
