Janene R. Mogler, age 47, of Alexandria, died following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family at home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Pastor Mitch Haaby presiding. Music will be provided by pianist, Randy Morken and vocalist, Dedra Zwieg. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Alexandria.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 20th, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service.
Janene Rae was born on March 30, 1978, to Donald and Rosemary (Hansen) Zuehlke in Alexandria. She grew up in Parkers Prairie and graduated from high school in 1997. Janene went on to earn her Early Childhood Certificate in Education from Alexandria Technical College. She was united in marriage to Jason Mogler on June 19, 1999, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. Together they made their home in Alexandria, where Janene stayed home for many years to raise her children. She also worked part-time at K-Mart and Pizza Ranch in Alexandria, and most recently as a custodian at Alexandria Area High School until her health began to decline. Janene also worked with Raaper’s Catering, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She absolutely loved coloring, singing, dancing, and shopping with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Morgan; and brother Trevor.
Janene is survived by her husband of nearly 27 years, Jason; three sons, Hunter (fiancée, Ellie Sherbrooke) Mogler of Hancock, T.J. Mogler, and Greyson Mogler both of Alexandria; daughter, Kendyll (fiancé, Derek Leeseberg) Mogler of Garfield; two grandchildren, Easton and Kason; two brothers, Dean Zuehlke of Sparta, Wisconsin and Tim (Karen) Zuehlke of Ankeny, Iowa; nephew Bradley Zuehlke of Sparta, Wisconsin; and feline children, Scout, Gunner, and Ranger.
Pallbearers are Chris Gallagher, Cody Faber, Dave Northington, Christian Miller, Dylan Runge, and Dawson Corle. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Burg and Ron Hacker.
