Jan M. Schultz, age 33, of Parkers Prairie, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Maureen Diedrich and vocalist, Stacy Froemming. Burial will take place at Parkers Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jan Maureen Schultz was born May 30, 1977, to Lonnie and Marlys (Joachim) Schultz in Alexandria, Minnesota. She was baptized June 19, 1977, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alexandria and confirmed April 21, 1991, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley. She grew up on Lake Miltona and graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria in 1995. Following her education, Jan moved to Fargo where she worked at the Barnstormer Bar in the Fargo Airport until 1999. She returned to the Parkers Prairie area where she worked as a bartender for JoJo's in Hoffman, City of Millerville and City of Parkers Prairie. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions. Jan enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. The loves of her life were her two beautiful sons, they were her heart and she enjoyed every moment shared with them, as well as her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, painting, making jewelry, playing cards, gardening, barbecuing, camping, watching the Minnesota Wild and talking like a sailor. Jannie truly enjoyed making people smile and laugh, especially through her facebook posts.

Jan is survived by her two sons, Jackson Lynch and Mason Schultz at home; mother, Marlys "Molly" "Magda" Schultz of Parkers Prairie; brother, Eric (Liz) Schultz of Alexandria; sister, Jill (David) Lahman of Parkers Prairie; three nephews, Jacob Schultz, Nicholas and Logan Lahman; step-daughter, Heidi Reher of Texas; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be sadly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Schultz; special friend, Johnny Lynch; grandparents, Paul Schultz, Dorothy Tarrant, Fredora Schultz, Charles and Hilda Joachim; uncles, Ed Joachim, LeRoy Joachim and Gene Sperling; and aunt, Joyce Sperling.

Pallbearers will be Chris Uhde, Greg Uhde, Chad Linow, Dan Moske, Dave Moske, Eric Schultz, Dave Lahman and J. D. Ellingson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Schultz, Nicholas Lahman and Logan Lahman.
