Henry T. Johnson, age 75, of Glenwood, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 4th, 2025 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Lowry. Interment will take place at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Henry Thomas was the son of Kenneth and Nancy (Johnson) Johnson was born on June 21st 1950 in Crandon, WI. His parents had six children and Tom was the second oldest. He grew up in Nashville Wisconsin. He attended many churches. He attended school at Mole Lake and left school after the 7th grade from Crandon High School in 1962.. He then attended Job Core College of the school of hard knocks with a degree of bad assery. He entered the Army in 1967. He was employed at Soo Line/Canadian Pacific Railway in the Twin Cities for 35+ years.
He was united in marriage to Susan Marie Schlichting on October 16th, 1971 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Blaine MN. They made their home in Isanti MN for 40 years and then transitioned to the Alexandria/Glenwood area.
He was very involved with the AA program and was influential to a long list of people in their recovery journey. He loved to hunt, fish and anything that involved his family.
He is survived by his wife: Susan, sons; Henry (Mandy) Johnson, Aloysius (Susan) Johnson, Jeremiah (Brooke) Johnson and daughters Marcella (John) Mossberg, Jolene (Joe) Marquardt. Grandchildren; Melanie (Josh) Ronning, Tommy (Sara) Johnson, Jacob (Rachel) Mossberg, Brooke (Mike) Uliana, Abby and Ava Johnson, Gavin, Nolan & Zach Johnson, Joey & Jackson Marquardt and 8 great grandchildren. Sisters; Candice Wilson and brothers, David & Ted Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ken & Nancy Johnson, brother Ken Johnson and sister Myrna Johnson.
Henry was a devoted father and husband. He loved God, Family, Friends and Country. He always went out of his way to help others and gave everything he had to everyone he met. Godspeed until we meet again.
