Helen M. Kraemer, age 102, of Parkers Prairie, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at St. William’s Living Center in Parkers Prairie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at St. William’s Living Center Chapel in Parkers Prairie with Fr. Peter VanderWeyst officiating. Music is provided by Paul Malecha. Interment is at St. William’s Catholic Cemetery, Parkers Prairie.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
Helen Margaret was born on July 9, 1917, to John and Nellie (Marsh) Kraemer in Kenmare, North Dakota. She was baptized at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank. Helen attended and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School. Following her education, she worked for her father at the family business, Ketter & Kraemer Meat Market, until 1962. Helen also worked various jobs throughout her life specifically as a nurse’s aide at St. William’s Living Center for 10 years and finally retiring in her mid-90’s from Midwest Bank in Parkers Prairie after 20 years. Helen was a member of St. William’s Catholic Church in Parkers Prairie. In her personal time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, jig-saw puzzles, playing bingo at the living center and spending time at the family cottage on Lake Irene. She loved dogs and especially enjoyed visiting with her nieces, nephews, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John; and three sisters, Marie Annis, Kathryn Tully and Alice Osterberg.
Helen is survived by her brother, Roy Kraemer of Parkers Prairie; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Urnbearers are her nieces and nephews.
