Gordon R. Burchard, Jr., age 62, of Eagle Bend, died on Thursday, July 11, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
A visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m., prayer service on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the home of Gordon and Audrey Burchard, 62545 County Highway 46, Eagle Bend, Minnesota 56446. The blessing service will take place at 9 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019, at their home.
Interment will take place 2 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Hector City Cemetery.
Gordon Ray Burchard, Jr., was born on September 13, 1956, to Gordon Ray and Bernice (Emerson) Burchard, Sr., in St. Paul. He graduated from Central High School in St. Paul. Gordon owned and operated a concrete company. He was united in marriage to Audrey Klukken on June 13, 2015, in Eagle Bend. Gordon was a member of the White Earth Reservation. He thoroughly enjoyed Sunday football, especially when the Packers played the Vikings, just to tease his wife when the Vikings would inevitably lose to the Packers. Gordon also enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, dancing, and listening to music and the KQ Morning Show podcast. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family especially during the holidays and on camping trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Celeste, Blythe and Shirley; brother, Gary; sister-in-law, Tina; nephew, Eric; and niece, Debbie.
Gordon is survived by his wife of four years, Audrey; four sons, Nick (Athena) Burchard of St. Paul, Bradley Burchard of Farmington, Christopher Klukken of Eagle Bend and Dylan (Brooklynn) Klukken of Little Falls ; three daughters, Melissa (Tony) Burchard of Minneapolis; Crystal (Jeremiah) Klukken of Eagle Bend and Aspen (Jay Jay) Klukken of Parkers Prairie; five granddaughters, Courtney, Zayda, Payton, Nithena and Zayla; grandson, Jaden; four sisters, Mary, JoAnn, Carol (Tony) and Jolene; brother, Jim; brother-in-law, Doug (Chanda) Precht; six nieces, Tamara, Cindy, Katrina, Erica, Alexis and Wendy; seven nephews, Terry, John and Jessie, Jason, Justin, Jack and Alex; and many great- nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
Pallbearers are Jason Burchard, Justin Erickson, Alex Burchard, Jack Burchard, Tyler Vue and Chuck Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Tamara Erickson, Brandon Burchard, Anthony Alojado.
