Glenice H. Buschke, age 72, of Parkers Prairie, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2011, at St. William's Catholic Church in Parkers Prairie with Fr. LeRoy Scheierl officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Byrne and the church choir. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m.,prayer service Thursday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Glenice Hope Buschke was born March 9, 1938, to Leo and Wilma (Campbell) Walker at home in rural Hewitt, Minnesota. She grew up in rural Hewitt, attended public school and graduated from the Bertha-Hewitt High School in 1956. Following her education she attended Wadena Technical School. She was united in marriage to Wilmer Buschke on December 7, 1957, at St. Joseph's Catholic Rectory in Bertha. Following their marriage they farmed and raised a family in Eastern Township, rural Parkers Prairie. They dairy farmed and raised cattle until retiring in 1997. She was baptized and confirmed at St. William's Catholic Church with her daughter, Barb. She also worked at St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie and the Henning Hatchery. Her husband, Wilmer died in 2006. Following his death Glenice moved into Parkers Prairie where she lived until the time of her death. She was a member of St. William's Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers. She enjoyed bird watching, flower and vegetable gardening, spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her pets. She especially appreciated the care provided by the staff of the Gift of Life Transplant House shown to her and her family during her stay at Mayo Clinic.

Glenice is survived by a son, Blaine Buschke of Bethel; two daughters, Barb (Mike) Fiedler of Vining and Sherry (Jeff) Gunderson of Carlos; a brother, Larry (Janice) Walker of Wadena; three sisters, Bev (Kenny) Booen of Deer Creek, Jo (Tom) Fern of Bertha and Sandy (Ray) South of Verndale; eight grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, Nick, Seth, Bethany, Bailey, Megan and Jessica; six great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Alivia, Ozzy, Colton, Eli and Alona; along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Phyllis.

Pallbearers will be Sam Branstner, Mike Booen, Jody Maijala, Jack Hennigar, Jenelle Judson, Wayne Revering, Mike Revering and Jim Kamphake. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
