Glen I. Lammle, age 75, of Alexandria, died suddenly on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at his home in Alexandria.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Pastor Julé Ballinger officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the Minnesota Honor Guard, and the Veteran’s Memorial Honor Guard. Interment will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Glen Irwin was born on October 22, 1950, to Armond and Avis (Porter) Lammle in St. James. He was raised alongside his five siblings and graduated from St. James High School in 1968. Following his education, Glen served in the National Guard. After completing his service, he attended auto body school in Sleepy Eye. While working in southern Minnesota, Glen met his future wife, Eileen Hove. The couple was married on October 6, 1973, at South Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. Glen later followed his brother to Parkers Prairie, where he worked at his brother’s auto body shop and where he and Eileen began raising their family. The family eventually settled in Alexandria after Glen accepted a position at 3M, where he worked for more than 30 years before retiring in 2009. Glen continued to stay busy in retirement, driving school bus in Alexandria and helping others whenever they needed him. He was passionate about hunting and fishing, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always willing to lend a hand when they needed him. Glen was a rock to his family, and they will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law; infant sister, Kathryn; and brother-in-law, Curtis Hove.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eileen Lammle; children, Jessica (Jeremy) Paul, Justin (Brandee) Lammle, and Jaron (Molly) Lammle; grandchildren, Sumara, Chris, Isabela, Angel, Ezekial, Akecheta Paul, Bryson, Mason, Madilyn, Carson, and Clara; siblings, Jon (Jurene) Lammle, Leslie (Evie) Lammle, Lori (Calvin) Olson, and Alan (Amy) Lammle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
