Fredrick Feldhake, Jr. III, age 57 of Alexandria, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Alomere Health.

Funeral services are 11 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2023, at Alexandria Covenant Church with Rev. David Mergens officiating. Private family interment will take place at Geneva Cemetery, Alexandria.

Visitation is 4-6 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Fredrick was born on July 15, 1965, to Fredrick, Jr. “Bud” and Marian (Moe) Feldhake in Montevideo. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.  Fred graduated from Montevideo High School in 1984. He continued his education studying diesel mechanics, at the Vo-Tech School in Watertown, South Dakota. Following his education, he returned to Montevideo where he met his future bride, Sheila Arndt. They were united in marriage on September 23, 1989, in Montevideo and to this union, they were blessed with three children. Fred worked for Western Co-Op Transport and in 1994, they moved to Alexandria. Fred began working for Renville Co-Op Transfer for several years until joining CHS Transporting out of Alexandria. He particularly loved taking care of his special accounts that he transported to Mark Holleman from Hancock, Paul Evans from Paynesville, and the Cenex C-Store in Alexandria with Lance Kalina and Alison Beving. In his free time, Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing, being on the lake, and playing pull tabs. He especially loved his family, spending time with his children, watching them play sports and hunting together. He will be remembered for his kindness and ability to make friends wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Catherine Dunn; brother, Tony Feldhake; and father-in-law, Lyle (Jo) Arndt.

Fred is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sheila; two sons, Ricky Feldhake IV, and Kyle Feldhake both of Alexandria; daughter, Kayla Feldhake of Alexandria; siblings, Jeanne Feldhake of Montevideo, Tommie (Darlene) Boike of Starbuck, and Scott Boike of Osakis; mother-in-law, Nancy (George) Kluess of Rushville, Nebraksa; father-in-law, Norman (Shirley) Kluess of Brookings, South Dakota; sisters-in-law, Jodi (Dennis) Engbrecht of Valley Springs, South Dakota Patti (Craig) Tolly of Brookings, South Dakota, and Melissa (Kurt) Lundebrek of Alexandria; brother-in-law, Ron Dunn of Kentucky; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; along with grand dog, Koda.

Pallbearers are Dennis Engbrecht, Jeff Nieuwbeerta, Dave Darrington, Todd Welberg, Brian Erickson, and Kevin Wiseman.
