Millie B. Lindstrom, age 96, of Parkers Prairie, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2010, at the chapel in St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Elton A. Hallauer officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Marvel Steinhorst. Burial will take place at Zionsborg Cemetery near Evansville, Minnesota.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and continue one hour prior to the service.

Emilie "Millie" Bertha Lindstrom was born July 10, 1914, to Albert and Olga (Ott) Bartelt in Belview, Minnesota. She was baptized July 26, 1914, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Echo, Minnesota. When she was two years old, her family moved to a farm near Carlos where she attended District #30 Country School through the eighth grade. She was confirmed on June 17, 1928, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Carlos. She helped on the farm, did housekeeping for various families and worked in Reuter's and Kloehn's grocery stores in Carlos. She was united in marriage to Robert Lindstrom on October 19, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Carlos. Following their marriage they lived in Evansville where they farmed and she taught Sunday school at Zionsborg Lutheran Church and belonged to its Ladies Aid. Her husband, Robert died in September of 1972. A year later, she moved to Parkers Prairie where she lived in her own home until 2007, when she became a resident of St. William's Living Center. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She especially enjoyed sewing, handwork and gardening.

Millie is survived by nieces and nephews, Kathleen (Robert) Simonson of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Danny (Christina) Meyer of St. Paul, Minnesota, John (Carol) Meyer of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, Karlin Meyer of Alexandria, Minnesota, Vennette (Gordon) Bowman of Riderwood, Washington, Carl Mae Day of Morris, Minnesota, Donovan (Joni) Johnson of Miltona, Minnesota, Edith Lang of Ashby, Minnesota, Donald (Margorie) Lindstrom of Springfield, Massachusetts, Clarice (Earl) Skogley of Bozeman, Montana; foster son, Maynard (Dorothy) Peterson of Wichita, Kansas; faithful friend, Stanley Dittberner of Parkers Prairie, along with great nieces, great nephews and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and her sister, Marie Meyer.

Pallbearers will be her nephews and great-nephews, John Meyer, Danny Meyer, Robert Simonson, McRae Meyer, Donovan Johnson, Micah Meyer and Nathan Meyer.
