Elizabeth "Liz" J. Freeman, age 80, of Parkers Prairie, formerly of Duluth, died Friday, November 14, 2014, at St. Williams Living Center in Parkers Prairie.
Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the St. Williams Living Center Chapel with Deacon Joe Wood officiating. Music is provided by Kim Byrne. Burial is 1:00 p.m., Thursday, at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie and will continue one hour prior to the service.
Elizabeth Jane Freeman was born May 2, 1934, to John and Edna (Stephen) Adamski in Duluth.
She was baptized May 9, 1940, at Sacred Heart Cathedral and attended catholic parochial school. Following her education Liz was united in marriage to Gerald Freeman September 8, 1951. Following their marriage she was a homemaker and raised her family. Her husband, Gerald died in 1970. Liz continued living in Duluth until she moved to Colorado in 1983, before moving to Utah where she was a caring and loving grandmother to her grandchildren. Liz moved to Parkers Prairie in 2000, to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She moved to St. Williams Living Center in 2011. Liz enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino but more than anything, she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, David; sister, Dorothy; and two brothers, James and Tom.
Liz is survived by her son, James (Edwina) Freeman of Big Piney, Wyoming; two daughters, Nancy (Darold) Dittberner of Parkers Prairie and Brenda (Russ) Paquette of Vernal, Utah; brother, Len (Barb) Adamski of Hermantown, sister Edna Jorde of Richardton, North Dakota; five grandchildren, Jessie (Keith) Henningfield, Jamie Berry, Matt (Kelli) Paquette, Jennifer Wilde, and Sara (Derrick) Daniels; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
