Duane J. Pfeffer, age 74, a resident of Grey Eagle, formerly of Parkers Prairie, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at his home.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Parkers Prairie with Rev. John Sorum officiating. Music will be provided by pianist, Maureen Diedrich and vocalist, Dedra Zwieg. Burial will take place at Parkers Prairie Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Duane John Pfeffer was born November 1, 1935, to George and Rosella (Stenger) Pfeffer in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. He grew up in Parkers Prairie and graduated in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 - 1958, in Germany. Following his honorable discharge he returned to Minneapolis where he worked with General Tire and Minnesota Petroleum for many years. He retired in 1995, and moved to live on Little Birch Lake, near Grey Eagle, Minnesota where he lived until the time of his death. He was a former member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and canning.
Duane is survived by a brother, Dale Pfeffer of White Bear Lake; a sister, Delores Price of Oakdale; two sisters-in-law, Emilie Pfeffer of Grey Eagle and Leona Pfeffer of Sauk Centre; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Alfred, Raymond, LeRoy and George, Jr., and a sister, Elfa Polipnick.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Parkers Prairie High School Class of 1955.
