Donald “Donnie” R. Stoeck, age 69, died on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota with family at his side.
A Celebration of Life honoring Donnie will be held from 3-6 p.m., on Friday April 10, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Church in Miltona. Please join us for refreshments and a time of fellowship.
Donald Raymond Stoeck was born on October 7, 1956, in Alexandria to Raymond and Doris (Brede) Stoeck. He was baptized and confirmed at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Miltona. Donnie graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria in 1975. Following his education, Donnie began working as a bartender at Chet’s Lakeside Inn in Miltona, where he spent 18 years. Donnie met Lynda Skoglund and they were married on February 15, 1992, at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church in Miltona. Together, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters Hanna and Serena. Hanna unfortunately passed away on the day she was born, July 1, 1992. During Serena’s childhood, Donnie attended a few sporting and school events throughout the years. Later, he worked at Henry’s Foods in Alexandria in the freezer department until around 2019, when his health declined due to a tragic ice fishing accident. Donnie enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He also liked spending time playing cards, pool, darts, and dice games.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Hanna; parents, Doris and Raymond; and grandparents.
Donnie is survived by his daughter, Serena (fiancé, Loren Edevold) Stoeck of Crookston; two grandchildren, Grace and Hannah; sister, Diane (David) Kreidler of Clarissa; aunt, Kathryn (Chuck) Betterman of Garfield; nieces, Shelly (Tony) Kassa of Bluffton and Jennifer (Josh) Rowe of Browerville; and nephew, Louis (Kim) Kreidler of Alamo, Texas.
