Dayton Leonard was born on May 6, 1993, to Jennifer Carter and Ronald Rossetti in Buffalo, Minnesota.  He was baptized at Waverly Lake in 1999.  He attended Osseo Elementary School for nine years until moving to Ronan, Montana where he graduated in 2012.  Following his education, Dayton worked as a firefighter with the fire department for a year.  He started his construction career in roofing while in Ronan and moved to North Dakota at the age of 21 years to work in the oil fields.  After three years in North Dakota, Dayton moved to Minneapolis where he continued working construction.  Dayton had a heart of gold that always wanted others around him to smile, laugh and feel included.  He was a charismatic and optimistic young man with a contagious and loving attitude.  Dayton was very artistic and had a love of nature and the outdoors, especially hunting and hiking.  He had a great sense of adventure and was always up for the thrill of new things, traveling and exploring.  He especially loved all his nieces, nephews, cousins, family and close friends that he considered family.
