David “Dave” A. Uhde, age 74, of Deer Creek, formerly of Parkers Prairie, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019, at St. Cloud Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Grace Christian Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Ken Uhren officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
David Arthur Uhde was born on December 30, 1944, to Art and Norma (Grothen) Uhde in Alexandria. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Dave graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1962. Throughout his life, Dave held various jobs throughout the Alexandria, Parkers Prairie, Urbank and Deer Creek areas. He was united in marriage to Susan VanGuilder and to this union three children were born. Together they raised their children in the Parkers Prairie area, near Lake Vermont. They later divorced and Dave continued to live near Lake Vermont until he moved to Deer Creek. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Dave also enjoyed playing cards and cribbage. He especially loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary; daughter, Tina; brothers-in-law, Raymond Olson and Steve Froemming.
Dave is survived by his son, Robert (Teri) Uhde of Deer Creek; two daughters, Carrie (Uhde) Bushman and Kim both of Henning; brother, Gail (Vickie) Uhde; two sisters, DiAnn Olson and Sandy Froemming; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Honorary urnbearers are Brent Ost and Glen Freudenberg.
