Clara M. Feda-Sutton, age 90, of Belle River, passed away with her family by her side, Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Sharon Senior Services in Alexandria.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014, at St. Nicholas Church in Belle River with Father Dave Petron officiating. Music is provided by organist, Marlyn Lehmkuhl and vocalists, Jodi Hintzen, Sue Morisette and Joyce Waldorf. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Friday with 7:00 p.m. parish prayers at St. Nicholas Church in Belle River. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.
Clara Margaret Feda-Sutton was born to Rudolph and Margaret (Bernett) Zimmerman in Belle River Township December 14, 1923. She attended country school and graduated from Alexandria Central High School in 1941. Following her education, she was united in marriage to Glen Feda December 27, 1944, at St. Nicholas Church in Belle River. Following their marriage they made their home in Belle River where they raised their seven children. Clara was a member of St. Nicholas Church and St. Ann's Sodality. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and crocheting for all her grandchildren. Clara found great joy decorating her home and yard for Halloween and Christmas. Her husband Glen died July 10, 1982. Clara maintained her residence in Belle River. She was united in marriage to Charlie Sutton January 3, 1987, at St. Nicholas Church. Following their marriage they spent summers in Belle River and winters at Apache Junction, Arizona. Her husband, Charlie died in October 2006. Clara continued living at home until moving to Sharon Senior Services in Alexandria where she received excellent care from their wonderful caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two brothers; and one sister.
Clara is survived by her four sons, Dale (Mary) Feda of St. Michael, Lambert (Helen) Feda of Alexandria, Thomas (Louise) Feda of Long Prairie, and Carl (Jeanette) Feda of Rockford; three daugthers, Karen (Donald) Koopman of Osakis, LaVonne (Vince) Andres of Edina, and Debbra (Todd) Nagengast of Brooklyn Park; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are her grandchildren, Randy Rud, Matthew Andres, Jennifer Grant, LynAnn Feda, David Feda, Tyler Nagengast, and Jason Feda. Honorary pallbearers are her remaining grandchildren.
