Carolyn "Suzie" Allen

Carolyn "Suzie" Allen, age 70, of Alexandria, died Friday, July 1, 2016, at Ecumen Bethany Home in Alexandria.

Memorial services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Rev. Scott Keehn officiating.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

Carolyn Sue "Suzie" Allen was born on July 26, 1945, to Maurice and Maxine (Girton) Allen in Brook, Indiana.  She grew up in Indiana where she attended school in Terre Haute.  Following her education she worked as a secretary/office assistant for most of her life.  She was married to Larry Joseph and they had three children together, Lana, Scott and Leslie.  Suzie moved to Alexandria in the early 1990's, and worked at Pete's County Market and the United Way.  She had a great smile and personality.  Her friend, Linda remembers her for her bubbly spirit and sense of humor.  Suzie loved dogs and people and was known to speak her mind.  May she rest in peace.
