Cameron L. Cegelske, age 46, of Maplewood, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria.
A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 3rd, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service.
Cameron Lee Cegelske was born on October 4, 1977, in Fairmont, the oldest son of Eldon L. Cegelske and Diane M. Mattocks. When he was four years old, his family moved to Belle River, where they milked cows. As he grew, he helped in the barn feeding cows and enjoyed playing with his brother and sister. When he was 13, the family moved to a bigger farm in Perham, where he started 7th grade in New York Mills School. The stay in Perham was only six months and the family moved back to Belle River where he attended school in Alexandria through 10th grade, when the family again moved to Big Lake. He graduated from Big Lake High School in 1996, and moved to the Twin Cities to continue his education, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Cameron found employment at various companies like Thermo King, Graco and others where he worked in Human Resource Information Systems and was able to work from London, Singapore, Japan, and China. He returned to the Twin Cities for the remainder of his career. He enjoyed studying family history traveling to Poland and Sweden to learn more about his family history.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Juanita Cegelske, and Harold and Gladys Hoppe; aunt, Darlene Mitchell; uncle, Dennis Grimm; and partner, Marc.
Cameron is survived by his father, Eldon (Jane Skehan) Cegelske; mother, Diane (Corrie) Mattocks; brother, Brandon (Hollie Bahr) Cegelske; sister, Tara (Corey) Jensen; stepsisters, Kayla Svor, and Jenna (Jeremy) Tilleskjor; nephews, Isaiah (Claire Wright) Jensen, Jonathan Jensen, Owen Cegelske, Mason Cegelske, Theodore Tilleskjor, and Finn Tilleskjor; niece, Cailin Jensen; great -niece Shawnna Carlson; great-nephews, Grayson and Ryan Jensen; aunts, Doris Grimm, Karen (Steve Johnston) Cegelske, and Connie (Mike) Richison; uncles, Norden (Jean) Cegelske, Jerry (Tamela) Cegelske, and Arlen Cegelske; and many close cousins and friends.
Pallbearers are Eldon Cegelske, Brandon Cegelske, Isaiah Jensen, Jonathan Jensen, Corey Jensen, and Corrie Mattocks. Honorary pallbearers are Owen Cegelske, Mason Cegelske, Cailin Jensen, Theodore Tilleskjor, and Ryan Jensen.
