Caleb G. Rokes, age 24, of Carlos, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Esther Lutheran Church in Eastern Township with Pastor Scott Hoecker officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-6 p.m., Monday, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Caleb Grant was born on May 20, 1998, to Michael Rokes and Andrea Carlson in Fergus Falls. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carlos. Caleb attended Carlos Elementary School and continued his education at Alexandria Public Schools. Following his education, he worked as a farmhand for a local farmer and at Target in Alexandria for a short time. Caleb was a jack of all trades that was great at handy work and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed gardening, crocheting hats, and crafting. Caleb was a fantastic cook and baker that was up for trying new recipes and staging food. He also enjoyed fishing, watching movies, building puzzles, shooting airsoft with his brother, shopping, and helping his mom decorate for different seasons. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Justin Carlson; and his great-grandparents.
Caleb is survived by his mother, Andrea Carlson of Carlos; father, Michael Rokes of Rochester; brother, Cody (Emmaly) Rokes of St. Cloud; three nieces, Harper, Zenna, and Kalea; maternal grandparents, Larry and Sharon Carlson of Parkers Prairie; paternal grandparents, Steven Rokes of Clitherall and Beverly Wark of Breckenridge; two half-sisters, Shalea and Shyla Dillon; along with many other extended relatives.
Honorary urnbearers are his nieces.
