Bonnie Jean Churchwell

Bonnie Jean (Kilian) Churchwell died on May 29, 2023, in Alexandria, Minnesota. She was 83 years of age. Bonnie Jean was born and raised in the small hamlet of Sugar Bush, Wisconsin, the daughter of Vernon and Erna Kilian. After graduating from Marquette University with a degree in dental hygiene, she moved to the Chicago area where she met and married her husband, Don Churchwell. Together they raised two boys, Timothy and Jeffrey, in Elgin, Illinois.

She worked for many years as a dental hygienist. After retiring, Bonnie Jean remained in the Chicagoland area to spend time with friends and family. She then moved to Minnesota to be near her two granddaughters, Delaney and Megan. Bonnie Jean enjoyed reading, chatting with friends, and attending church. She will be remembered as an outgoing, engaging, and entertaining person.

Bonnie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don, and son, Jeffrey. She is survived by her son, Tim, and his spouse, Peg, together with their children, Delaney and Megan, brother, Alan Kilian and his spouse, Marilyn, together with their children, Karen and Kristin, and her niece, Kelly (Churchwell) Morrow.
