Beverly A. Melde

Beverly A. Melde, age 73, of Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Galeon Senior Living in Osakis.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Pastor John Taplin officiating. Private family interment will take place at Fron Cemetery, Starbuck.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

Beverly Annette was born on August 16, 1949, to John and Alice Norby in Starbuck. She was baptized in 1949, and confirmed in 1964. Beverly had a brief marriage in 1970. She was blessed with son, Brian in 1972, and was the bright spot in her life. Beverly was united in marriage to her forever high school sweetheart, Lyman Melde in 1998, in Oregon. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado and visiting her sister Nancy in Cyrus. After moving to Alexandria, she also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and attending Bible study with friends from New Life Christian Church. Beverly loved spending time with her son and other family members. Overall, she especially loved watching the sun come up each day and talking with God.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 25 years, Lyman; son, Brian (Lisa) Austinson; sister, Nancy Barsness; grandchildren, Sierra and Nate Swenson; niece, Angela Jenson; two nephews, Darin Jenson and Paul Barsness; along with many aunts, uncles, step-children, and cousins.
