Benjamin J. “Ben” Hellerman, age 39, of Sauk Centre, formerly of Parkers Prairie, died doing what he loves, snowmobiling on Saturday, February 15, 2025, near Two Inlets.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m., on Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Williams Catholic Church in Parkers Prairie with Fr. Jeremy Theis presiding. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
The visitation is 4-7 p.m., on Thursday, February 20th, at Vogrin Hall, St. William’s Living Center in Parkers Prairie and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Benjamin James was born on August 25, 1985, to Bryan and Brenda (Busch) Hellerman in Alexandria. He was baptized and confirmed at St. William’s Catholic Church. He graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 2004 and continued his education at Wadena Tech, studying electrical construction, graduating in 2006. During high school and college, he worked with Roy Olson Farms in Parkers Prairie. After college, Ben began his electrical career in the area and later joined Berd Electric in Sartell, where he was serving as an electrical supervisor. On April 21, 2012, Ben was united in marriage to Amber Anderson at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. To this union, two beautiful children were born, Aubree and Tucker. Together, they purchased a home in Sauk Centre in 2013 and built their forever home in rural Sauk Centre in 2019. Ben was a former member of St. William’s Catholic Church and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. His hobbies included tinkering with anything he could work on in the shed, racing, snowmobiling, farming, four-wheeling, and spending time on the lake. Most of all, he cherished his family and loved being involved in his kids’ lives.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Bernadine Busch.
Ben is survived by his wife of 12 years, Amber; daughter, Aubree and son, Tucker both at home; parents, Bryan and Brenda Hellerman of Parkers Prairie; sister, Brooke (Oren Hoeper) Hellerman of Parkers Prairie; grandparents, Joseph and Mary Hellerman of Parkers Prairie; father and mother-in-law, Gary “Andy” and Kathy Anderson of Parkers Prairie; sister-in-law, Heather (Matthew) Oachs of Moorhead; niece, Brooklyn Oachs and nephew, Asher Oachs both of Moorhead; friends just like family, Derek (Jenna) Henning and their boys; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers are Matthew Oachs, Oren Hoeper, Derek Henning, Jarrod Oberg, J.R. Kamphake, Anthony Thoennes, Nathan Henning, and Lance VanHavermaet.
