Becky Sue Frutiger-Nelson, age 47, of Miltona, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010, at St. Cloud Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Parkers Prairie.
A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Becky Sue Frutiger was born June 20, 1963, to Noel and Karen (Bean) Frutiger in Rochester, Minnesota. She was baptized into the Baptist faith and grew up in Rochester until moving to Miltona in 1974. She graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1981. She was united in marriage to Timothy Rud at the First Baptist Church in Parkers Prairie in April of 1981. She moved to Pipestone where she received her accounting degree from the Pipestone Technical College. She returned to Miltona where she lived. She worked for Tri-County Income Tax & Accounting in Eagle Bend from 1983-1995. She worked for Wegleitner Trucking as a dispatcher in Bertha until 1996. She received an Office Support Specialist Certificate on August 19, 2009, from the Hennepin Technical College in Shakopee. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, snowmobiling, gardening, creative writing, auctions and garage sales along with searching for antiques and collectibles. Becky's love for other people is clearly demonstrated through the generous gift of life by donating her organs. As a result of her generosity, four recipients were given a miracle this Christmas and four families blessed.
Becky is survived by a daughter, Karma Frutiger of Miltona; a son, Ronald (Katie Gavin) Frutiger of Glenwood; her mother, Karen Frutiger of Miltona and Port Isabel, Texas; three sisters, Teresa Facca of Laguna Vista, Texas, Brenda (John Frederick) of Phoenix, Arizona and Renee (Don) Ferguson of Floyd, Virginia; and two grandsons, Riley and Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Noel; maternal grandparents, Murvil and Yarmilla Adler and paternal grandparents, Floyd and Artie Frutiger.
